Amber is a devoted wife and mother to both biological and bonus children, including two children with special needs. With over 15 years of experience as a professional caregiver for individuals living with dementia, Amber has dedicated her life to advocating for and supporting vulnerable populations. Her journey into special education advocacy became deeply personal through her son, Levi, and his complex educational and developmental needs. Like many parents, Amber spent years navigating the special education system feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone. Determined to change that experience—for her own family and for others—she committed herself to learning everything she could about special education processes, parental rights, and special education law. Through extensive training, research, and lived experience, Amber transformed frustration into empowerment. What once felt isolating became a source of strength, clarity, and purpose. Out of that transformation, Lifted Wings Student Advocacy was born. Amber’s mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that no family feels unheard, unsupported, or alone while advocating for their child’s educational needs. Through her student advocacy services, she brings compassion, knowledge, and unwavering dedication to every family she serves, helping parents feel confident, informed, and empowered in their journey of empowering your family.

My “why” begins with my son, Levi. Levi is now 14 years old and lives with a complex combination of medical and educational needs. Becoming his mother required me to become a fierce advocate—one who would learn, ask questions, and stand firm to ensure he received the supports he needed to grow and succeed. Our journey took a dramatic turn
My “why” begins with my son, Levi. Levi is now 14 years old and lives with a complex combination of medical and educational needs. Becoming his mother required me to become a fierce advocate—one who would learn, ask questions, and stand firm to ensure he received the supports he needed to grow and succeed. Our journey took a dramatic turn when Levi was just 18 months old. A severe illness nearly took his life and resulted in a lengthy hospitalization. In a short period of time, he went from a happy, healthy toddler to a child who faced significant social, emotional, and educational challenges. That season forever changed our lives—and it forever changed me. Through every obstacle, God used Levi’s journey to shape my heart, strengthen my faith, and clarify my purpose. I learned that advocacy is not just about services and paperwork—it is about stewardship, perseverance, and trusting God while actively protecting and supporting the children He has entrusted to us. I want the absolute best for my son. I want him to thrive, feel valued, and walk confidently into whatever path God has prepared for his life. Witnessing all that Levi has endured in his short time on this earth ignited a deep passion within me—not only for him but for every child with “imperfectly perfect” needs. This calling is why Lifted Wings Student Advocacy exists. My mission is to walk alongside families with compassion, knowledge, and faith—empowering your family so they never feel alone, unheard, or powerless. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and soar, and every family deserves student advocacy services that believe in both their child’s potential and God’s greater plan.

What a Special Education Advocate Does
A special education advocate serves as a knowledgeable guide and supportive partner for families navigating the special education process. Advocacy is about ensuring that every child is seen, valued, and supported according to their unique, God-given design. As an advocate with Lifted Wings Student Advocacy, I help families understand their rights, interpret educational data, and collaborate with school teams to create plans that allow students to learn, grow, and thrive. I work to bridge the gap between parents and schools—bringing clarity where there is confusion, confidence where there is fear, and peace where there is often overwhelm.
Rooted in faith, this work is grounded in the belief that every child has purpose, potential, and a future worth fighting for. Advocacy is not about conflict; it is about stewardship, preparation, and standing firmly for what is right for a child’s educational journey.
